STANDARD PINS
The A grade and highest quality pins, nearly perfect, but might have some slight faults.
imperfections are usually only visible upon close inspection or in a certain light. some of these faults would include:
- Tiny air bubbles
- very minor enamel under fill
- light faults in the metal plating
- light surface scuffing on the enamel or metal
- minor dust
These pins are sold at full price and are perfect for dedicated collectors with beautiful displays!
B GRADE PINS
These pins have more notieable flaws, some more minor or major than others. Perfect for a more casual collector. some of these flaws would include:
- noticeable or multiple areas of under filled enamel
- moderately scuffed enamel or metal
- imperfections on the metal plating
- few air bubbles in the enamel
- missing metal lines
- dust on soft enamel
These pins are offered at a slightly discounted price.
C GRADE PINS
These pins have very noticeable flaws that prevent them from being sold as B grades. they are great for budget collectors! Some of these flaws might include:
- large and very noticeable areas of scuffing
- very noticeable scratches or air bubbles in enamel
- areas of under filled enamel
- multiple defects or imperfections in the metal plating
- large or multiple areas of missing metal lines in more detailed pins
- multiple areas of enamel staining or discolored enamel
- low quality enamel or metal work
- Loose pin posts
I wouldn't want any pins to go to waste and would still love for them to find a home despite their flaws. so this grade is always sold at a majot discount.
D GRADE PINS
These pins are the seconds grade pins. They’re sold as the most discounted price and have much more noticeable flaws. These babies just need a good home <3
(Soft enamel pins are more lightly graded as theyre more prone to flaws such as dust in the enamel, or if they have a layer of epoxy, its common for it to have small bubbles.)
